Members of the California Association of Dental Assisting Teachers are provided with the following member-exclusive benefits:

Membership Levels:

Please review the following categories and instructions for each before downloading and completing a membership application.

  • Regular MemberA Regular Member is a current or past instructor in dental assisting education.  This membership category is reserved for those who, at minimum, possess a current, valid California RDA, RDH, or DDS license and are faculty or staff members of a provider or institution directly involved in educational delivery of dental assisting.  Members in this category are subject to licensure verification through the Dental Board of California.
    2012 Regular Member fee: $120

  • Associate Member:  An Associate Member is a current administrator, dean, manager or owner of an educational institution who may or may not possess a California license as a RDA, RDH or DDS and who is not considered faculty.  Associate members shall participate in functions of the association but will not be eligible to serve as an officer or committee member/Chairperson. 
    2012 Associate Member fee: $160

  • Out-of-State Member:   An Out-of-State (OOS) member is a current or past instructor in dental assisting education living outside California.  All OOS members must, at minimum, possess a current, valid license, permit or nationally recognized certification within the dental profession.  OOS members in good standing shall be awarded limited privileges of the Association and will support and promote the objectives of the Association.  OOS Members will not have the right to vote, shall not be eligible to serve as an officer or committee member, but shall be eligible to participate in Association events.  
    2012 OOS Member fee:  $140

  • Retired Member:  This membership category requires a manual membership application be completed and sent to CADAT by mail or fax.  Retired Members are limited to those individuals who have retired from teaching in the profession, are a minimum of 60 years of age, and who have been a member of the Association for no less than 10 (ten) consecutive years immediately prior to applying for RM status.  A Retired member shall be awarded limited privileges of the Association and will support and promote the objectives of the Association.  Members in this category may not vote or be eligible to serve as an officer or committee member, but shall be eligible to participate in Association events.   A Retired member shall pay approximately one-half (50%) of the Regular (R) member annual dues.
